Today we discussed Open Source software (which is free as in beer!) You can learn more about it at SourceForge where you can download literally thousands of open source programs. We also discussed DD-WRT, which is a router firmware replacement for the Linksys WRT54G that greatly extends the functionality of this inexpensive wireless router. If you want to learn more about Voice over IP (VoIP), we discussed an open source project (which yes, it’s free!) called Asterisk.
