    We also talked about Linux and how more and more people are catching on about why it should be seriously considered as an alternative to Windows. My favorite distributions of Linux are below:

  • OpenSuSE
    Ubuntu
    Xandros
    Linspire

    Though the last 2 are not free, they are great for someone just getting into Linux. Also, Arthur today brought up a great point! Look for the Live CD versions of these and you can boot to the CD and try Linux without actually installing it on your computer!
